Dear Visitor
Before you come away on holiday it is a good idea not only to make
a list of things you want to bring with you (toilet paper - that
foreign stuff is too rough, Typhoo tea bags - cannot drink their
muck etc), but it is also equally important to make a list of things
you don't want and would never, ever, think of wanting. This will
help avoid the inevitable upset and confusion upon your return;
cavity searches in customs and friends disowning you. At the same
time you might also want to make a list of activities which hold
no interest for you at home but, when unleashed in a foreign clime,
you suddenly decide you cannot die happy unless you've had your
photo taken with a mangy traumatized monkey or sailed round the
island at 5 MPH for 3 hours saying "Oh look, another palm tree".
